Happy Lamb Hot Pot has the best marrow broth of any of the hotpot chains I've tried so far. Come here for great vibes, tasty broth, and high-quality items! FOOD [5/5] ---------------- + House Special Marrow Broth (5/5) Super creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount of salty. + Beef and Lamb Combo (5/5) For the price of $15, this is a perfect portion of meat for two people. It's great if you want to get two portions of meat for the price of one, with some diversity! It's also presented so beautifully. + Veggie Combo (5/5) Comes with bok choy, enoki, bell pepper, watercress, cabbage, and squash. The portion size is great, and the veggies are very fresh! + Sauce Bar (5/5) I went here a couple months ago and they didn't have the sauce bar open yet, but now they do! You can choose from a great selection of the typical sauces (garlic, coriander, green onions, hoisin, soy sauce, peanut sauce, etc.).

Came here on a Wednesday night around 7pm. Didn't have to wait for a party of 3. The meat portions were pretty good. 3 orders of meat + veggie platter and a few other sides & rice got us pretty full. Service was fast but felt like they were trying to get us out asap once we were almost done with food even though we've only been there for barely an hour and there were plenty of empty table. Slightly irritated because felt like we were being rushed. Overall food was tasty and fresh, but ended on a sour note due to being rushed.

Great hot pot place! The food is delicious and fresh here. There is a la carte option or an all you can eat. We would come here pretty often if we are craving hotpot only otherwise we would go to SuperHot quite often. The service is quick and you can get seated wayyy quicker here compared to SuperHot. The wait is usually less than 30 minutes even with people waiting out the door!

Always love going to this place for hot pot. I've always had a great experience! It's very homey and classic. It is not AYCE, but the quality of each meat I order is amazing. I didn't even need to use any dipping sauces because the meat itself was already flavorful. The meat isn't overpriced either compared to other hot pot places. The broth here is fresh and so are their meat and vegetables. It is definitely the spot when I'm craving hot pot. The service is also great! The staff here are always so nice and friendly. They're also very patient and made sure everything was to par.

Just amazing! Long overdue review. The ambience is so good, like if you wanna have hotpot and want to go to a fancy place, this is the place to go! And lunch special is really worth the price! The manager or possibly the owner is such a nice person! Food is of top quality. Other staff are always responsive, nice and decent. I would say this hotpot place is kind of westernized so it very fancy lol. If it's authentic Chinese hotpot place it's not gonna be this fancy. Thus this is a nice place for team meals or first dates.

One of my favorite hot pot places in the Bay Area. It's not AYCE, but the quality and serving sizes are good and not too overpriced. You order off a paper menu and mark which items you want. You can split the broth pot too if you want to try more than one flavor or don't want to share. The restaurant isn't that big, so be prepared to wait if you come after 6pm.

Happy Lamb always hits the spot when you're craving something warm and soupy! The service is always quick and efficient, though beware longish lines on the weekend. Thankfully you can always put your name down and walk along Castro, there are plenty of shops nearby. We ordered a la carte with a half n half broth -- be sure to try the enoki mushrooms, noodles, and napa cabbage! Great place overall to catch up with friends over a long meal!

Really solid, high quality Chinese hot pot spot! Items here are a la carte and not AYCE, but still left satisfied and full. My parents and I ordered the split pot soup base, 2 plates of meat + the seafood special plate, along with veggies and sides. The sizes of the meat portions were generous, and I'm glad we opted for the seafood plate as 3 plates of meat would have been to much. All of the meats were fatty and tender and the soup base was flavorful, so I didn't even end up needing to use any dipping sauces.

Great hot pot experience! We came here for mother's day and got an extra plate of beef on the house! The service was good, and the overall ambiance was solid for a reasonable price. It's hard to mess up hot pot! The veggie and house broth were extremely flavorful, while the toppings were delicious. The taro, udon noodles, beef, and fish balls were our personal favorites.

We love hot pot. And so do our friends. So when one suggested this place, we were all in! Parking is tricky, especially on a Saturday evening. And following GPS will take you by it then you gotta go around for another 3-4 miles to get back! So before getting to the restaurant, turn left for the parking lots. We had 8 of us so we got different combos for groups of 4 and shared across it was perfect. Our favorite was the mushroom and veg combo. Lots of good stuff. Spicy broth was delicious. Sauce mix hit the spot too. Plenty to go around and everyone was very full. Love it!
